New Acer Gphone

Acer who is reported to release an Android laptop now  is reported to be preparing to release a Gphone handset this year powered by Android.  Acer is following HTC, Samsung  and Motorola into the Android powered arena.  

 Acer has already announced at GSMA 2009 that it is set to release up to (9) Windows powered mobile smart phones this year.  The Windows phones will be based on a Qualcomm snapdragon  processor.  However this is the first company confirmation to the rumor that Acer will also release a Gphone based on Android.  The company did not specify the processor, however most Gphones have been based on the slower ARM based processors.  A company spokesman said that the Acer Android phone code named A1could be released in 4^th quarter 2009.
